“I have had a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte. He has discussed the risk of an increase in fighting and the potential challenge this poses, as well as the need to defend ourselves and launch an adequate response,” Zelenski has asserted in a message broadcast via his Telegram account.

Thus, he has indicated that they are “taking the necessary steps to maximize and strengthen Ukraine” in view of the next meeting of the Ukrainian Defense Contact Group (UDCG), also known as ‘Ramstein format’, a format created last April by the United States. The first such meeting took place at the military base in the German city of the same name.

Rutte, for his part, has pointed out that the Netherlands “will do everything possible to help Ukraine not only to defend itself but to win the war.” “Ukraine has been resisting this barbaric invasion by Russia for almost a year. The next few months will be decisive. I have spoken to President Zelenski and assured him that we will do everything in our power,” he said on his Twitter account.
